The 2008 Presidential Election

This election is becoming a very controversial and ground-breaking occurence in the history of the United States of America.

On one hand, we have what BEGAN as the more significant (culturally speaking) portion of the election.  Former first lady to the 42nd president, Hillary Rodham Clinton, ran against a new arrival, a black man, new to the political scene by comparison, but with charisma, public appeal, and a radical and ear-catching message, Barack Hussein Obama.  Each a powerful contender for the political position of power which is the President of the United States of America.

It was to be absolutely ground-breaking.

What wound up happening was a test to the Democratic party's unity...

After Hillary Clinton decided to drop out... I'd still like to know why honestly, it fell entirely on Obama.  Obama did WHAT exactly with his pick for VP?  The smarter thing would've probably been to pick Hillary.

I am inclined to wish, even if ONLY for the sake of the Democratic party's unity and the well established Democrat influence within the civil rights movement, they would combine a black man for president and woman for vp.  I knew when I originally heard about the two candidates that it was a black vs. a woman.  Two different civil rights movements that are still very much alive.

When occurences like the Jena 6 were spun by biased media so far beyond the original occurence that it was completely unrecognizable...

When natural human frailty is revealed in the wake of tragedy, such as was the case with Hurricane Katrina several years ago... is wrongfully twisted into an uncaring government's negligence, and thrown on Bush's shoulders.

These 2 articles are a MUST READ.

Politics is BULL.  Neither McCain nor Obama are exempt from that.  However, in this election, I've seen enough junk on Obama's side to make McCain the better pick regardless of any skeleton he may be hiding.

The recent Wall Street "crisis" has exploded into a political scheme on Obama's part.  He's continuing to yell "I will CHANGE Washington!" Despite the fact that his economic advisor, Franklin Raines is responsible for the self destruction of one.  Franklin Raines, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, the list goes on... There were a lot involved in letting it happen by their (and even Obama's own) acceptance of contributions from the companies in question, and absolute, steadfast, blatant refusals to accept and intervene when the issues were brought forward years ago by Republicans LIKE, and INCLUDING McCain!

ACORN is most recently being pushed into the news because of massive voter fraud issues. The organization and Obama go WAY back... nearly 15 years. Watch all the videos, and read the articles, please.

With the media putting out articles like this...

It's obvious they're trying to protect ACORN.  If you attempt to be someone, even someone that doesn't exist, or you've made up, or is just a cartoon, in an effort to secure an extra vote in what is supposed to be a fair election, you have committed an ILLEGAL act, in an attempt to unfairly turn the election in your chosen candidate's favor.  No  number of technicalities should be utilized to protect a person who is doing the wrong thing, especially with something as crucial to the American government as ELECTIoNS.

It was Democratic politics that created the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae into the position they are in today.  It started many years ago, but was pushed forward and the current spiral began during Clinton's administration.  There was a huge push for EVERYONE to become a homeowner.  Basically, the Democrats pushed it.  Home loans were passed out to people who couldn't pay them, and eventually it got really huge.  Mixing those with the Enron-like corruption already among the FMs', several attempts to reform were blocked by mostly Democratic House members.

Pay close attention to the people in those links, and this next video defending Freddie and Fannie.  Also, note their political affiliations.  This is a partisan issue.

One of the BIGGEST factors pushing Obama along as far as he's gotten is his declaration that he represents a NEW breed of politics, immune to the mudslinging, slandering, "usual-politics." He claimed to be above the bureaucratic nonsense...
Yet...

He has attacked Palin for supporting The Bridge to Nowhere, which was supported by numerous democrats, including...

Obama's stance on abortion goes significantly deeper than just "pro-choice."  He has an established record of not only voting pro-abortion, but even allowing children who manage to survive the abortions to die without medical attention.

How many of you have seen the mccain ad attacking Obama for teaching sex ed to kindergartners?  Read here the typical defense...

Then... READ THE BILL itself, for yourself, including all changes made.

Obama is also for gun-control, and has a history of supporting gun bans.

AND in case you've heard something about the claimed tax cuts for the poor/ tax hikes for the rich thing... and what the HECK that has to do with that Joe the Plumber guy...

What HAS Obama done for our country already?  If he is to be the president of the USA, he should be able to prove himself capable of helping steer the course of our nation in the future, right?  I've named some of the things he's done, all of which are obviously partisan issue.

ok... one more thing...
Obama is not the messiah...

I desperately hope that if you started at the top, you have read all the way down to here...

I tried to gather good information.  This election is an extremely important moment in US history, for MANY reasons.  If you're religious, pray that you make the right choice... but I personally want to pray that by this point, the right choice has already been made perfectly clear.

God Bless.
